Over thirty years ago, Saint John Paul II instituted the World Day of the Sick, observed on the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes (February 11th), to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.
Our Parish will honor this day by offering a healing Mass on Saturday, February 7 at 11:00am to ask for the healing presence of God to bring comfort and strength to our infirmed brothers and sisters. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will be ministered during Mass.
Any parishioner who is suffering from an illness, as well as any family members or friends of parishioners are invited to attend to receive the anointing. All parishioners are invited to come to the Mass and pray for our infirmed brothers and sisters, and for all who care for them.
To the intercession of Mary, Health of the Infirm, we entrust all the sick and their families. United with Christ, who bears the pain of the world, may they find meaning, consolation, and trust.
